U periodu 20.06 i 23.06. 2022. Održana je 20. međunarodna konferencija o suncokretu – (Interantional Sunflower Conference – ISC 2022) u Novom Sadu. Domaćin konferencije je bio Institut za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u saradnji sa Međunarodnom asocijacijom za suncokret (International Sunflower Association – ISA). Svi članovi projekta su se pojavili kao autori radova na konferenciji, a neki su svoje radove predstavili u obliku prezentacija  i u obliku postera.  S obzirom na međunarodni karakter ove konferencije, ostvareni su brojni kontakti kako sa naučnim radnicima iz zemlje, tako i i sa naučnim radnicima iz inostranstva.
