One of the important vegetable species in our area is pepper, which, like other vegetables, contains a lot of minerals, vitamins and various substances that are beneficial for human health.

The period from March 15 to March 31 is the right time for sowing pepper in unheated greenhouses, and for planting on the open field.

The sowing standard is 6-8 g / m2 for the production of seedlings without transplanting, and an optimal sowing depth of 1.5-2 cm. Pepper is characterized by the great diversity of shape, size and colour of the fruit, which conditioned a very diverse use. Breeding activities resulted in pepper cultivars of different types of fruits on the territory of Serbia.
