The course in the field of plant breeding titled „Advancements in Plant Breeding, Trial Design and Analysis“ was held at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, in the period 29-31 May 2018.
The course was intended for the employees of the institutions and companies engaged in breeding field and vegetable crops and molecular biology. The course included basics of R software in plant breeding, different strategies and technologies that are used in plant breeding.
The course was attended by 29 participants from Serbia and abroad. The lectures were attended by the breeders from companies Saaten-Union from Romunia, Ernest Benary from Germany, Promovert from Italy, Monsanto from Hungary, KWS, NuSeed and Superior from Serbia, as well as the researchers from Cereal Research Non-Profit Ltd. from Hungary, University Goce Delčev from Macedonia, Maize Institute Zemun Polje, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering and the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops from Serbia.
