Climate crops members\u00a0Ana Marjanovi\u0107 Jeromela,\u00a0Ankica Kondi\u0107-\u0160pika\u00a0and\u00a0Dragana Miladinovi\u0107 participated in PlantEd WG2 Training School – Genome-edited plants: Impact and beyond, held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 24-25.05.2022.\u00a0Training\u00a0was organized within the activities of PlantEd\u00a0COST Association – European Cooperation in Science and Technology\u00a0(www.plantgenomeediting.eu<\/a>) WG2, led by\u00a0Dragana Miladinovi\u0107.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Training School focused on plant\u00a0genome editing and its impact on\u00a0plant breeding. It provided a learning platform\u00a0and forum for discussions on genome editing, its implications in\u00a0agriculture, as well as socio-economic and regulatory considerations. Major goals of the Training School were to analyze and discuss the scientific developments and the regulatory frameworks, as bases for proper assessment of the impact of this technology.<\/p>\n

Participation of Climate Crops members in PlantEd action already led to 2 project applications within Horizon Europe\u00a0program, as well as a paper published in a high-impact journal\u00a0https:\/\/lnkd.in\/eF9VFfws<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>
