The Climate Crops Centre members participated in a workshop on ‘Non-invasive plant phenotyping approaches and research infrastructure management’ and training school ‘Phenotyping summer school’ organised by the Research Centre Jülich, Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (IBG-2): Plant Science (March 4th–8th, 2024).
Participants from Serbia, Italy, Spain, and Germany travelled to Jülich to learn about state-of-the-art plant phenotyping approaches for lab and field phenotyping, as well as about research infrastructure and science management.
Beside exceptional lectures on different approaches for quantitative analysis of root and shoot traits delivered by the team from IBG-2, the training school gave the opportunity to get hands-on experience on different root and shoot phenotyping approaches, including image and data analysis.
Both the workshop and the training school were organised within the CROPINNO project (HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ACCESS-02-01: Stepping up Scientific Excellence and Innovation Capacity for Climate-Resilient Crop Improvement and Production, CROPINNO, Grant Agreement No. 101059784).
